Hood dampers

NRG Good price and good quality. I open my hood everyday... no issue for 2 years.
(My S is not really driven every day... and one day I seen a mice in the engine bay. I put traps and got 2, but just in case I leave the hood open and that solve the issue.)

My friend recently purchased some NRG hood dampers. We expected it to open the hood up by itself, but we found out that we have to manually prop it up ourselves and it will just hold there. I thought that was kind of lame so I did some research and found these.

Anybody ever try these? Fitment issues? Long term reliability?

The SOS dampers come with a mount that is made to fit the OEM hood. It has a molded in button that fits into a hole in the stock hood. Most, if not all aftermarket hoods do not have that hole.
So if you are rocking a CF or FG hood, you will need to drill a hole for the damper mount to sit flush. the reason SOS did this was becasue some people complained about other mounts becoming "twisted" from press, and rubbing against the fender.
