I tried the cheap Ebay ones and they were totally crap, did get my money back from the seller though.
Was tempted to get the SoS ones instead when they were on sale but never got an answer from them when I tried contacting them so sticking with my prop

Here is another interesting alternative: https://www.310tuner.com/product/honda-s2000
Seems impossible to find any user feedback on them though.

Just bought SOS ones 2 weeks ago because they are on sale 2 build quality is amazing. Definitely worth the money if you plan on spending a significant amount of time in your engine bay, give you soooo much more room to work. I installed them this weekend - I'll post pics up tonight

I've got a set of PWJDM ones that work very well. Just about anyone you get from a seller on here will work just fine!

i gotta agree here. Why the want / need for hood dampners? Do you know the trick with the OEM hood prop to raise the hood ALL THE WAY STRAIGHT UP?

you can also raise it all the way up with the SOS ones without fumbling around with a prop rod.

free vs fumbling around with wrenches during installation and dealing with the eventual failure of said dampers.

Once the rubber grommet has the smallest amount of grease on in, the prop rod slips in and out in seconds.

we can argue pros and cons all day.

It's your car OP but I doubt OP will ever stop back to this thread.

You can reposition the rod to the passenger side of the quarter panel and position the rod in the cutout that is located on back passenger side nearest the windshield. You can't miss it.

The first pic shows where the rod would go and the second pic shows where you would install it on the passenger side.
