HKS Exhaust

Also, since you have a 2001, I assume you have the original (Hiper). When they switched to the Hi-Power (current HKS exhaust) all the piping is aluminized, and therefore, doesn't rust.
Personally, I've been around a lot of s2000s, and there are NO exhausts on the market today that sounds NEARLY as good as an HKS exhaust. Even if I had to replace it every year, I would do it in a heartbeat, just for the noise. I can take a pic of mine as well, and show that it still looks brand spankin' new.

I bought a used HKS, its in very good condition, less than 5k miles. I haven't mounted it up yet and when I bought it, the seller said that I should consider painting the piping with a hi-temp rust inhibiting paint. He said that he got this tip after he had mounted it up. Sounds like I should consider dropping $10 for some extra insurance. Any current HKS owners do this?

The HKS HyPower is one of the best dual systems you can buy in that price range.
You would have to spend a lot more to get any real gains.
If you like the sound its a great choice. If you live in the snow and salt belt, just rinse it off now and then.
