This past weekend I was washing my car. As I was drying it, I noticed a decent amount of water inside my passenger headlight!

My driver side had no water in it.

I'm wondering if there is anything I could do to remedy this problem.

Remove your headlight (ballast included) and put it in your oven at 200 degrees for 4 or 5 minutes until the silicone warms up and try to pry it open with a friend and a few flathead screwdrivers. It's not easy, but look at Rick's Accessories site for the PDF instructions. Once you get it separated, bake it in the oven for a few more minutes to make sure you've evaporated the moisture.

Now put the two together, and reseal with High temp silicone. There is some black stuff that I used with mine and other people's in my club when we did clear diffusers. Put it back in the oven for a few more minutes to let it melt a bit and make a new seal.

You're good to go Make sure you are VERY careful opening up the back from the front. When warm, the plastic can crack if you're not careful. Ask me how I know

If you want a less effective but easier way to accomplish this, just remove the headlight and drill a little hole somewhere in the back of the headlight's black plastic backing. This will still mean that you'll accumulate moisture, but the hole will allow it to evaporate within a day or so.

When I heard of baking the headlights...
I didn't think you'd actually BAKE it in a conventional oven.
