Hardtop Creaking Fix

Hardtop Creaking Fix
So since I have gotten my hardtop I always had creaking issues.
I tried Shinetzu grease, tried readjusting many times but the creaking would always come back.
So my idea was kinda spurred on by the guy who used felt tape I tried finding felt tape locally but wasnt able to so I went to walmart and picked up weatherstripping.
I lined the black trimming on the back of the car with the weatherstripping since it is self adhesive it takes 2 minutes then took of the paper on the other side put the hardtop back on no creaks at all.
Here is the weatherstripping I bought: Duck Weatherstrip seal only $6.00
The only issue I have is the top sits a bit higher but seals just great, I would suggest finding one that has a bit less height.

I had the same issues, despite several adjustments with the shims and correct latches etc.
My fix was to replace the OEM hardware with racing brackets. Sure the top is an hour task to remove, but no creeks AT ALL.
The car looks great with the HT on, so no need to remove it anyways.
