I have this set up... Running pretty stiff too... 450 in the front and 400 in the back. With my koni set as stiff as possible. But I love it... Car is nice and low also.

I have that set up and like it so far.

I dont' mean to dig up an old thread; but is this a common practice where you guys usually DONT run the dust cover on the koni/gc combo?

just for the record, the white piece is not the dust cover, if you look at the oem dust cover, it covers the entire damper shaft preventing sand and dirt from sticking on the shaft and then dragging it into the damper body thus damaging the seals.

i'm stuck at this step right now. The OEM dust cover has a wide opening and then tapers down. The wide part is too wide for the GC springs and thus I will have no suspension movement if I proceed. Any way to cure this problem?

thanks

dustcovers dont fit with ground control sleeves. they will interfere. there are instructions to cut off the length of the dust cover, but in order for it not to interfere, its pointless.

and they havent proven to be necessary either. plenty of ppl done use them and theyre fine and still warranteed.

so yes, its very common, and mandatory to not use the OEM dust covers.

if youre really picky, you can use accordian shock boots, or steering rack boots if youre resourceful.

Dont mean to jack the thread but does any one have any input or pics with the ground control's on stock shocks??? I am just curious as to how they fit on the bottom of the shock. I have lowering springs and would like to add the ground control's for the time being before I get the koni yellows. I know its been done, I just wanna know what I am up against. lol.

Nice setup. What did you use to replace the stock perch with?
