Probably a little over a thousand if you can install it yourself. If you dont do any highway driving then 4.77's are the best choice. www.hardtopguy.com sells them pre-installed in differentials, it will cost about $2000 with the core charge of $1000, so when you get his differential with the 4.77's in it, install it, send your stock one back to him and you get your $1000 back. He does very good work and is very good to deal with.

depends what you consider hard. it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. and its MUCH easier if you have a lift. I wouldn't attempt it if its your first time changing a differential. have someone that's done it there with you to guide you through it or just have a shop do it.

I pulled it down myself and it was first time taking down a diff. Its not to hard its actually pretty self explanatory. theres a guide I know on here I partial followed but for the most part you take out all the bolts around it till you see its free. Its not that bad of a job.

Have HTG do the install for you. A gear install into a diff is NOT easy to do correctly.
I had HTG do my 4.77's and have had ZERO problems.

$1000 for a whole diff with gears is a hell of a deal, unfortunately you have to deal with shipping and charges, wonder how much these are? So if someone like myself wanted a diff with a different gear choice such as 4.44 for my application, do you know if he provides these in his package as well?
