Default Front brake ducts done differently?

I've reviewed the front brake duct DIYs and am interested in doing it a bit different. I'd like to put two NACA ducts under the chin of the front bumper, just behind the two fake vents that most people like to knock out for the inlet.

The question is, would those NACA ducts flow enough air being that their pickup would be under the car???

If you were to actually use them on a track or autox (which is the only good reason to have brake ducts in the first place), you will most likely scrape them... and probably tear them off completely.

I agree that they may scrape off. Why not route them in the bumper for protection?

I'm avoiding the bumper, as this car is a lease...

I'm not talking a duct hanging underneath, but mounted flush, like a NACA duct would usually be mounted on teh side of the car for the interior. I'm just not sure it would flow any air, being flush to the bottom of the car...

Here is a pic of what I'm considering... Looks feasible from this article...

You'll track/autox a lease, but you wont install brake ducts in the bumper?

Just worried about getting dinged when I turn it in.

I hope you realize that the ONLY reason you need brake ducts on the S2000 is to cool them off when the car is on the track... and ABS is engaging on every corner... and you're experiencing fade. And if that is what you're doing with the car, then taking a hit when you return the car due to brake ducts should be the least of your worries.

Otherwise you are wasting time and money putting ducts on a street driven (or even autoxed) S2000. I've tracked, autox, and run my car HARD on the tail of the dragon and I've BARELY experienced brake fade.

Don't waste your time or money.
