REALLY?? mine is the same exact thing as OEM underneath! and the older seibon mg i looked at was the same as oem too, except the hood latch ring on that one was screwed in. IMHO the way the vents on the Seibon are closer together looks better than on the Mugen.

To those who say you gain 4 Lbs. with this hood, just remove the hood squirter's and the washer tank. When full the windshield washer set-up weighs over 10 Lbs.

can you buy the covers seperately?

mine didn't come with them....and i'm assuming it's going to suck trying to wash my car while trying to keep the water away from the open vents

it's fine to get water in the vents, once you're not completely soaking your filter. just tape some heavy duty plastic bags on the undersides of the vents if you're really worried about it while washing.

yeah really the engine bay doesn't get too wet when washing, just don't shoot the hose into the vents. Or you can make sure your engine is cool and lay towels under the vents before you wash the car.
