Exhaust nut and bolt sizes
#11
Thanks for the size! I have found some that should work!
I have got this coming today: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-P...s=nut+splitter
In theory this will break the nuts off but leave the bolt and thread in one piece.
Has anyone else used one of these? Did it work fine and not damage anything but the nut?

I've used those before. The problem is the threads on the studs are probably already too buggered up to reuse.
Another poster suggested proper fix. Hack off the old stud, drill hole, replace with stainless steel bolt and nut.
Note: A 'bolt' that is permanently in place with no head is called a stud. Bolts, nuts, and other fasteners use the diameter of the threaded area as their unit of measure, not the wrench used to remove them. So one 10mm nut might use a 14mm wrench, another might need 13mm, another 15mm, etc.
Get yourself a 'Mapp' gas torch (yellow bottle at Home Depot). When you can't break a fastner free, heat it up good, then try again. Don't bother with Propane torch, not enough heat, takes forever.

Thanks for the advice, I was in the Honda dealer earlier today and managed to get the nuts that I need, and thought that I might as well replace the studs so got a set of them too.
Tomorrow il hopefully get the exhaust sorted!
