Default Engine torque dampner vs solid engine mounts

I've been having some mis shifting problems while on track. I have been missing upshifts while exiting some turns hard on the gas that i am attributing to the stock engine mounts. Ive never missed a shift in my life and ive done 2-3 pretty hard ones in only a handful of track days in this car, an 07 with 90k btw.

Question is that im having a hard time deciding between just replacing the oem mounts with hasport mounts or installing a engine dampner like the ingalls kit.

Hasport mounts are more expensive, little more difficult to install and more vibration. But (to me) seems to be the right fix since it is directly adressing the problem (too soft mounts).

ETD is cheaper, easy to install. But seems like the easy way out and id worry about putting stresses on parts of the head/engine/chassie that were never intended to see load or torque.

Are there any other cons/reasons to not go with the etd?

Personally I would go torque dampener unless your mounts are already bad/going. Then whenever they need to be replaced upgrade them to something stiffer.

I never understood the stress to the head argument. Engines are pulled with bolts attached to the head, entire weight of engine hanging from them. They can take that. The mount point for an etd has a lot of leverage to where the engine wants to rotate. This limits the torque etd sees.

Think of it this way. You know when you feel that kickback when you are drilling something and the bit catches? Imagine your drill doesn't have a hand grip, so you are holding it by the body of the drill. Think you can hold it then? No, too much torque. Now imagine your drill has a two foot long handle. Now its way easier to resist the kickback, you have so much leverage.

Down at the motor mounts, the kickback has a lot of torque. But the farther away from center, up at the head, more leverage, less torque.

Not to mention, the etd has a rubber isolator. Imagine if you are trying to hammer on a wrench to loose a stubborn fastener. Now imagine you put an etd between hammer and wrench. Every blow has to compress the rubber before it can deliver any force to the wrench. You gotta wack so much harder to loosen the bolt.

I got megan motor mounts and they made a huge difference shifting on the street and at the track

I'm not a fan of the noise and vibrations but there's no way I'd go back to stock mounts after driving with these

The advantage of an engine torque damper is that you can adjust it (or try different versions) to adjust the amount of damping provided, and it will limit the movement of the motor mounts, which will make them last longer. If it's also your daily driver, you can unbolt it when you're not on the track. If you get motor mounts that make your teeth rattle, they'll rattle all the time...,

I would get motor mounts I have the innovative ones and love them. I really don't understand all the rattle talk. Yes it rattles a little more then stock but it's not bad by any means and after 1,000 miles it settles down even more. Ps get all your mounts changed Including trans and diff it really makes a huge difference on this car.
