Stick with a F20, 9k redline is more fun.

yeilds about 10whp and 10-15wtq, tuned, just change out the crankshaft. i haven't seen any making power over 8400 rpms.

It's more about staying in the powerband for the next shift...#teamneverfalloutofvtec

9k may be cool, but usable torque is better. I know when my f20 goes I will more than likely drop in a f22

The F22 head is built to take higher rpm as well with its better valve guides, retainers and keepers, its just the bottom end is what holds the revs back. Throw a SC on there though and bouncing off 9k all day. NA, yeah peak power starts to drop off after about 8400rpm as was mentioned. But an F20 doesn't make peak power at 9k either so really the power bands are much closer then one would think, but you get the added trq and hp throughout the whole power band on the F22.
