Hey guys, other than a Dremel (don't have one), what else can be used to open them? I tried endlessly with a Stanley knife.........

Dremel is the perfect tool for this, especially because you need to glue them back together. You want the two sides to be even.

I'm going to PM you on how to get a dremel if you don't have one.

EDIT: Managed to access both sidelights, now all I need to do is wire them. God I hate wiring. Is it possible without proper crimps?

For anyone searching for info in future, in the end I simply crimped male connectors onto the fog light wires and plugged them straight into the existing harness (with the black sidelight holder removed).

Has anyone tried just grinding the bolts off the back and sticking them on with 3M tape instead of drilling holes in the bumper?

No because what would you do with the cables?

There is already a pre drilled hole in the UK bumper for the wires. I ask only because I don't want to drill more holes
