I don't have a garage, so I would have to work at my friend's place (garage/tools) to do any work that requires me taking bumpers off and etc. (I live at school )

You don't need to remove the bumper to get access to the back of the vents. just get the car on jacks and unbolt the flaps directly underneath the bumper.

If you're not going to go through the process of opening the lamps to paint them black (i suggest doing it because they look ugly as chrome IMO) the install and wiring should take a couple of hours. if you do get into the project of cutting them open and painting it will take a minimum of 2 days because you should let it all dry for 24hrs before install.

hmm. ok. I mean I can paint the lights before working with the car, so that's no problem.

But on a silverstone, it might not look as good as it does compared to black/white

it looks better as black because the bumper vents are black to begin with so chrome down there looks funny IMO

I just wanted to share my experience of fitting/using these lights over the past 7 months.

1. Make sure that you do any modifications such as tinting the internal reflectors before fitting as once they are fitted the crappy mild steel threaded screws/nuts that you use fit them rust up in a month or so. Mine now cannot be removed unless I destroy them! Perhaps you may be okay in Cali' but not anywhere with normal inclement weather.

2. They are cheap and that's just what you get I'm afraid, still, they do look nice.

3. Even if you decide not to modify them, get the sealant out and seal them up again good. Both of mine fogged (no pun intended) up then one started to fill with water. I've even fitted a small drain plug to one side to let the water out every month!

Just my experience FWIW, I still like 'em. Pity the seller won't acknowledge my emails though

I ordered a set from 360Tuners.com I'm assuming it's pretty much the same stuff, but I will install them on Friday and get some pictures for you guys.. I live in Chicago and I hope these last okay. Worst case scenario I'll just tint over them in black or pop the original covers back in.

Yep mine did the same thing ...... You might just want to visit an Autozone and make something using those strip LED lights for about $25

Here are a couple pictures I quickly snapped:

I'd give the lighting 9/10 so far, and the actual install/fitment a 7/10. my passenger side is a bit off center, has a 1cm gap.. but oh well..

I do like them though. I have it wired to my parking lights.

I stumbled across this on a Japanese site. I'm not a big fan of aftermarket angel eye headlamps, but this setup comes together very nicely.

I went with the DRL wiring that I posted, above, and the $6 strip lights from eBay.

You should try putting those leds in your headlights, possibly having them placeds towards the middle. I think it would look better.
