Easy Painting Solution V2 wheels painted
#61
it'S2klean... I've been daily driving with these for like 1.5 weeks now. (Lots of rain and cold weather conditions) Still looks like the first day I painted them. No sanding was needed, I just simply washed the wheels and went to work. Btw, I didn't paint the barrels. The barrels are full of the grooves, and figured it would be a pain to remove, still looks nice though. Go ago and use the pics, no prob.

Found out if u order through the PlastiDip site you can custom choose what color you like. Looks like I'll be experimenting....I think I'll try some orange PlastiDip on my ap2v1's for my GPW and will get white for my red element

Yea...i have wheels that are professionaly painted, not powder coated...i wonder how putting this on top would be...Im not really looking to change from white but it removable
And on places to buy via the website it says Ace Hardware has the Create your own color rather than ordering it online.
Geuss i got to start looking for another Set of AP2V1's, even though i like the look of the Ap2v2s but more in the white and my v1's already painted white :[
"Create Your Color Kit Features:
The features of our new Create Your Color Kit and redesigned container provide a multitude of benefits, including:
Custom colors for dip, brush or spray applications.
65% more product than our standard 14.5 oz container.
Wider opening for larger projects and use with a 2" brush.
Ease of mixing tints or added textures.
Much improved long term storage."
Click
But you can get White/Blue/Black/Yellow/Green online.

LOL!!! People removing PlastiDip paint job from their cars with pressure washers, what a fail, but def. the kind of durability I'm looking for. Interesting to hear a dude painted his roof with it...

yea from the looks of it, it seems durable enough to withstand chipping and if it does chip, respraying isn't much of an issue since it would b simple. the biggest plus is that isn't not permanent but i wouldn't go spraying the whole car with it now

Naw helllll no i wouldnt spray the car with it. But if i had a G35 i might consider doing the roof, thats a pretty cool two tone idea, and cheap at that.
I learned that the best way to take old plastidip off, or so i hope, is spray another nice layer ontop and than rub it off after 2 hours, it should come off together...
But as said, you can get White/Black/Blue/Red and Green from online, i think ill have to try one of each.
