I've been using a Fumoto Oil Drain Valve for almost 3 years now. I love it. Even though oil changes were easy, I never liked the chore. With the oil drain valve installed, oil changes become too easy!

Steps (once the oil drain valve is installed)
1. Open hood
2. Place oil drain pan under oil pan
3. Unscrew oil filter
4. Open the Oil Drain Valve
5. Screw in new filter
6. Add oil
7. Dispose of oil properly

No need to jack up the car. No tools needed.

One time installation:
1. Remove OEM drain plug
2. Let oil drain
3. Screw in the Oil Drain Valve with provided washer
4. Do not overtorque the Oil Drain Valve.

Oil Drain Pan used
Autozone carries an oil drain pan that will fit under S2000s lowered 2 inches as shown in the video. It costs about $2: Link here. The drain pan measures 3.5" in height.

Q. How much does the Engine Oil Drain Valve stick out from the oil pan?
A. S2000s equipped with the Oil Drain Valves need not worry about ground clearance, as the valve extends parallel to the ground. If your oil pan does not scrape, then valve will not. In fact, many points of the frame are lower than the oil pan or the valve.

I have a fumoto on my car.
My car is just too low to put a catchpan under it.
I'm going to try again in a week or two when it's time for another oil change.

 

I might drop my S and not sure if the drain pan will fit after that. Shoot... I am not sure if it will fit right now anyways.

 

Mina's car and my car are lowered with less than a finger gap in the front and rear and the drain pan is able to fit. At Autozone they have a very low profile one that holds ~5.5 quarts.

If the drain pan doesn't fit, you can jack it up just a bit for the pan to clear, and at least you still won't need to get under the car to break the drain bolt.
