Default Drivers and passengers seats reversible?

Hi everyone,

I tried to find information about this but I couldnt find any.

I own an AP1 s2k with red leather interior, and my drivers seat is damaged on the bottom part, where the butt sits.

I have a hard time finding another red seat but I just found a passanger red seat as we speak.

The question is, is the bottom part of the seat reversible?

Could I use the bottom part to replace it on the drivers seat?

Worst case, could I use the skin of the seat and swap the drivers one?

I have quite a good deal on the seat itself so I wouldnt mind using just the skin or just the bottom part

1) please do what you can to make sure the seat for sale is not a stolen seat. Lets not promote theivery by buying stolen parts.

2) I'm fairly certain the seat bottoms are interchangeable.

3) why not swap your worn out driver seat bottom with your passenger seat bottom?

Good luck

The bottoms are interchangeable from one side to the other. It is a pretty easy job to do, I just did mine

How would he know if the seats is stolen or not? The seller is gonna admit it?
How do you swap the sensor that is on the driver seat bottom?

I just did a leather swap on my drivers side seat bottom. As much as the bottoms of the driver and passenger seat are switchable, each seat pan has a internal metal brace/shaped-rod specific for driver and passenger sides.

I hope that wasn't confusing but if you swap the bottoms from left to right, there will be no more metal brace to take some of the punishment from people entering and exiting your car. Just pray people don't crush your lower bolster when they get in and out.

Best bet is to swap the leathers and maybe the foam but not the whole seat bottoms.

It was real easy to swap leathers. Just buy some good hog ring pliers and get a lot of 3/4" hog rings.

Thanks for the answers guys.

I just did it and it was a really easy job!

For those interested, I also tried to switch the top part, but you can't haha.

Thanks again!

When swap only foam and leather, what happens to the space for the metal brace, do it fit well and easy?
