do you think you could just clean and spray the brakes right on the car without taking em off?
Just mask and cover everything else??

Those kits use a brush, as it is a thick epoxy paint. I think many people have painted them in place.

Exactly. That's how I've done it a bunch of times. A great write-up but if I went through the hassle of a complete caliper removal, I would have sent them out for powder coating. The beauty of the kits are you can do a good job while they are on the car but they will never look as smooth as a powder coat.

I have a Rio and I went with black too. They don't jump out but our calipers are so small it almost looks silly to go with something like red or yellow.

Nice job. I've done my twice now, first time in silver. That was a nice clean look but then I decided to try red. Not matter what the color choice, I think anything beats that drab grey/blue that the stockers turn over time.

I found that after a couple years I had a number of chips. After I recoated them a second time, I added a clear coat which seems to help.
