Very true, most blown diffs are driver error not mechanical failure.

To the OP,
The rear can be fixed and pumped up to handle more power and demand. Keep in mind that demand is not abuse, no differential will take abuse for very long.
You have to be mindful of your shifting the car and being smooth in your driving.

Top race teams in NHRA, NASCAR, and alike break and blow rears, it happens. If a rear or axle could be made bulletproof these guys would have it.
These teams have all the money, resources, and the very best wrench and fab guys and still have a failure now and then. Most always theses failures are due to driver error.
