Disassembling AP1/AP2 tail lights
So i spent all day researching the best way to go about this so i just went ahead and did it.
1) Preheat oven to 200.
2) While heating dampen a towel ( one you dont like, cause you wont be using it for anything else after this) with water.
3) lay down a piece of aluminum foil on the oven rack then lay the towel on top. this will provide needed moisture to stop the light from melting to quickly.
4) put light in oven and heat in 5-10 minute sessions. take out and carefully pry apart.
5) cant stress enough to take your time, about an hour for each light.
6) apply even force to the lens when pulling it from the light. pull the top and bottom not the sides or the lens will crack in half vertically.
more details to come
this is what i got
everything was fine until i dropped the lense and it broke Mutha F@$%&er
For those of you with water in your AP2 lights, this is why, they are not a sealed unit, haha... unit....
take a look, you can still slide a small flat head in this space even when the cover is on.
ill update this soon with more details, this is it for now.

actually ull need to keep it on becasue u wil need to continually put them back in as they will cool off after a few minutes out of the oven. u need to heat them up pry a liitle at a time then put them back in to keep the sealant continually soft, and repaet this step until they are ready to be pulled part.
