Did UK Exhaust Mod.... It's loud!

Youtube videos seem to show UK mod making the car louder at all times. Do not think anyone would mistake it for stock exhaust under throttle. After that, one's interpretation of "loud" or "track car loud" is subjective

My UK Mod exhaust is loud as well, when coupled with TP. Under 3k it's just like stock, but over 3k it is loud, not obnoxiously loud but def. noticeably loud.
If I modulate throttle to minimal then it is quiet.
Now I put OEM cat back on for the time being, and now it's just like I have non-UK mod exhaust.
Try putting stock cat or HFC on and see if you like any of them better than with TP.

When I first installed my HFC to my AP2 with stock exhaust, it sounded much louder than stock. Sounded like I had aftermarket exhaust that is not too overly loud, but you can definitely hear it.
Nice deep rumble when I started the gas w/ a lil gas, but also screams a little bit in WOT when I hit VTEC.
Totally opposite of what I was expecting from just about adding a HFC.
Then i brought my car back due to a heat shield rattle sound and found out that there was a loose bolt that was stuck in between the heat shields.
Removed the loose bolt and no more rattle and no more aftermarket exhaust sound. Now car sounds stock'ish except just slight "hum".
Moral of the story? Yes, something could be wrong with your UK exhaust if it is indeed "too loud" and sounds like a race car

This was my first thought as well. The test pipe is likely what's increasing the decibles. A HFC (or even the stock CAT) would likely fix OP's problem, but it may slightly increase the drone.
Replacing the test pipe with a CAT would definitely be my recommendation.

Hard to know TBH. Likely putting back the cat will help, but many setups w/ TP don't sound obnoxious. On the other hand, I friend of mine did the 44mm uk exhaust w/ cat and complained it wasn't loud enough, and when he replaced it w/ a 70mm TP, it was OBNOXIOUSLY loud - definitely louder than anything I've heard on YouTube with the 44mm/70mm TP combo, and louder than most aftermarket exhausts as well. I have no idea why this was.
As a reference, I've attached what 30s clip of what a 38mm/63mm TP sounds like, recorded from the same distance from a stationary car - first half is stock, second half is w/ the mod: [attachment=63234:UK Exhaust Mod (38mm) + TP (63mm).mp3]

Before you do that, put the OEM Cat back on and try it like that. I did the same mod, but went with the largest diameter pipe they could fit on existing exhaust pipes. Kept the original CAT. I love the revised sound. It's about 60% louder than before, but not obnoxious at all. More like what the car should have had from the beginning, if Honda wasn't so conservative with their cars.

Most people don't want a loud(er) exhaust. It should be quiet from the factory I think. S2000 is loud enough under WOT for most people. Listen to a new vette stingray drive by.. can't hear a thing. Same rule applies.
