cr/ap1 sway bars

cr/ap1 sway bars
So I've tried searching my query and havnt found anything specific...I see alt of info with CR sways on ap2 etc
But my query is about putting the CR rear sway bar on the ap1 and leaving the ap1 front sway alone as it us similar to CR already
Has anyone done this? Will it help much with handling? I already have after market coil overs with stiffer springs 12kg front and rear..will the cr sway make it softer?

There are threads that give the specs for front and rear sway bars for each year, but they did change every couple years. IIRC, the '00-'01 were the same, '02-'03 were the same, '04-'05 were the same, and '06+ were the same. However, the AP1's were tail happy already, so depending on how your suspension is setup now, and how neutral it is, a CR rear bar may be awesome, or totally sucky. Just remember that stiffening the rear will increase oversteer (help you spin) .

in terms of a stock ap1 (2002) stock suspension stock sway bars. if i left the front one alone and changed the rear out for a CR rear sway would it make the car UNDERSTEER or OVERSTEER?> (my understanding is oversteer = tail happy and rear end snapping out, etc) i want to minimize this lol. and im running 245 dunlop SS all around .
any help is appreciated. :-)

I had an '02 before my '08, and it had too much oversteer with factory sway bars, even with staggered tire sizes, so I upgraded the front bar to a big / solid Whiteline bar, and it made it much more neutral. If you are running non-staggered tire sizes, then you may need an even stiffer front bar than that. I upgraded the front bar on my '08 to a CR bar, but it isn't big enough for the staggered tires that I'm running, so I ordered a Saner bar.

This should answer your suspension queries regarding the CR versus Ap1.

confused one says oversteer and another says understeer?

Softer rear = more Understeer or less oversteer... Understeer = front end sliding... People who are saying oversteer either A) are confused about the AP1 rear sway bar and think the CR bar is firmer, which it is not, or B) are confused about how sway bars affect handling.
The quote you quoted, had the guy say that "if the CR bar is stiffer" you will get oversteer, i am telling you it is softer so you will get a shift towards understeer, the link that someone posted shows the rates of the bars and you can see for yourself that the CR bar is softer.
