countersunk shift knob

Default countersunk shift knob

what does it mean by countersunk?
i did some searching and all i can find about the countersunk was it just rides lower..

try to get me a new shift knob, should i get the countersunked one??
is JDM Honda type R shift knob countersunked?

It is drilled deeper and sits lower on the shifter. This gives you a shorter shift.

JDM Honda type R shift knob countersunked? No
should i get the countersunked one?? That is up to you
