Default Comptexh Icebox

Hey guys I just purchased a used COmptech icebox. the air filter is pretty dirty so I wanted to get a new one.......
Can any filter fit in the CT box? Will a K & N drop in filter or spoon filter fit?
Any suggestions on a good replacement filter?

You don't really need to replace the filter. You need this to clean it up

Never had a comptech before, so I can't exactly answer that.

Can I ask why you're opposed to buying a new comptech filter?

I used the Uni filter cleaning kit on the Comptech filter. Once it is cleaned, the filter is good as a brand new one.

You don't want to use K&N oil on the foam filter, it's too thin and won't do a proper job of filtering. The foam element filters are supposed to be the "upgrade" already. The unifilter oil that Ono linked is the way to go as far as cleaning is concerned. I'm not sure where other people are getting it, but NAPA can order it and motorcycle shops probably carry it.

Yeah I wouldn't mind knowing either. Just ended up getting a CT filter but wouldn't hurt to have options.
