Comptech Vs Invidia V3 Dual Catback
So I have a local guy who wants a louder exhaust and has the Comptech catback. I have the Invidia V3 and really like the sound. It is light and 70mm piping, and I just picked up the 70mm test pipe to throw on it.
I really like the look of the comptech, and wouldn't mind a quieter exhaust if it was just as light and just as good in power. But the complete exhaust thread mentions nothing about piping size and that gains are minimal.
The guy wants my Invidia plus $200, which would rock because I got my Invidia used for $250 and my stock exhaust. So basically I would have the comptech for $450. Should I do the swap? I know the comptech is a much nicer piece, but not sure I want a quiter, more restrictive exhaust. Thanks for the input.

I like the CT exhaust because it looks good to me and quality is good too. But again I bought the V4 since I wanted my car to sound good. If you want the looks I say CT and if you want your car to sound good then keep the Invidia. Maybe with a TP on the comptech might sound good though, I dunno. Just my .02. Good luck.

Thanks Man, that is what I was thinking too. I have heard some say that the Indivia rusts and such, but its SS. I know the Comptech is a quality piece. I wish i could find a sound clip with a 70mm TP.

Test pipes only make it buzzy and raspy. Don't do it -- ruins the sound.
The Invidia Q300 is probably one of the quietest aftermarket systems, and is 70/60mm. They can be had for $650 shipped (new).

I just put the TP on last night and I love the sound of it and the Invidia. I will really have to think hard about the switch now because the sound is orgasmic.

I have the CT exhaust with the CT "HFC" - however, the HFC is now gutted (not by choice) - the car has a SC as well....it's very "buzzy raspy" and ME NO RIKEY teh Sound.
Probably going to swap to the Megan HFC or just install the OEM....as much as I hate to
