Competition Clutch
I had a comp clutch, stage 2 put in my car almost exactly a year ago. The clutch has less than 10k miles on it, and was slipping in the higher rpms. I took it back to the shop that did the work. They deal with competition alot, and specialize in high performance imports. They took the clutch out, according to them it's worn down pretty bad. They sent the clutch back to competition, hoping to get it covered under warranty.
Competition has denied the warranty.
First of all, I know how to drive stick. I don't abuse my car, I don't ride the clutch, hell, I don't even beat the piss out of it like I know other people do. It has been to the track ONCE, and that was the drag strip. Took it down the track twice. Break In period was also adhered to. My accord's 1st clutch lasted me 135k, and with the 2nd one it's currently at 180k and still fine. The s2k had this clutch put in around 61k. (I am the third owner of the car.)
According to competition the stage 2 clutch is supposed to be a good street clutch with light track use.
Overall the clutch felt pretty good, while it lasted... the engagement was great, grip was wonderful, was easy to drive after the first week of getting used to it.
I'm just curious for those of you who have this clutch, how long has it lasted you, or how many miles do you currently have on yours? I had the comp clutch stage 2 with a resurfaced/lightened ap1 flywheel.
I don't understand how they can deny the warranty on this when it has less than 10k on it, and I've had it almost exactly a year. So now I'm stuck with more labor of putting in ANOTHER clutch, thank God the shop is cutting me a break, and buying another clutch altogether. Needless to say I WILL NOT be buying competition again. /rant.

Yea, it really blows.
First State Motorsports in DE. They've had my car up on the lift for the past week, trans out and everything. I'll have the parts to them tomorrow so I should have my car back by Monday/Tuesday.

OEM. I was thinking of going with the ACT Clutch/PP with OEM TB and Flywheel... but realistically OEM will work just fine for now.
The car is my DD, so I won't be putting more power into it. Plus I just don't have the money right now.
