lol there's always one guy in "which coilovers should I get" threads that just yells out "GET TEIN COILOVERS" with no reasoning.

Hey guys,

In perth WAustralia and i told the guys who are doing my suspension and they told me to stay away from the cheapies. they said, "dont risk ur ride or life on cheap stuff, just go tein!"... if i get megan's shipped from the states, get them professionally installed, im on the freeway doing 180km/phr, can they just fall off?... Im not stupid, i know itll happen but other members in honda forums say the same too.
Im more inclined to going D2 coilovers as recommended by this honda mechanic.
Thanking u guys in advance.

Your mechanic is an idiot. Yes, cheap coilovers will just magically fall off....

Yes, they will, and any Teins under the SRC or N1 will also fall apart. Do the right thing and spend the big bucks on suspension.

It's not about the coilovers you get. It's the fact that most people just get coilovers and then slam the piss out of their car. You also need to get other suspension parts such as LCAs and polyurethane bushings help as well.

Go and spend 3k on a set of coilovers and watch your coilovers fall off after a lot of abuse because you spent 3k on coilovers but not on other suspension parts.
