Default Clutch and flywheel

Obviously I don't know a lot about upgrading the drivetrain...so...should you upgrade the clutch and the flywheel? Or would you be ok just upgrading the clutch? About what whp is a stronger clutch needed?

And also, what about getting an aftermarket LSD?

Thanks!

If you are doing your clutch I would at the very least put in a resurface AP1 flywheel in there. Much lighter than the heavy AP2 one and can buy them for $50 and get it resurfaced for like 40 probably. 19-20 lbs for ap2 and I believe 14 lbs for ap1 flywheel.

i hear if your replacing the clutch you should resurface the flywheel like Moddiction says. Since you have an AP2 i recomend getting a light weight flywheel. i hear the AP2 flywheels are heavy and robs your whp. if your "upgrading" your drivetrain just a clutch wond do too much i have a fidanza (7.5lbs) light weight flywheel on my AP1 and i love it

I would lighten the flywheel when you replace the clutch. Great mod on every car I have owned. Ap2 fly wheels are heavy compaared to the ap1.

I also recommend going with a lightened flywheel if you have an AP2. You might think a 7lb flywheel is overkill, if you're stock. It's a matter of opinion, some people love it...and some people hate it. A lot of Ap2 owners go with the 11.5 lbs flywheel, still a huge difference over 22lbs. I really wanted to get the 8.5 lbs flywheel from SOS, but just couldn't do it without getting a ride from someone who has one. So I ended up getting the 11.5 lbs flywheel from SOS along with their sport clutch.

Here is a good thread about flyhweels
