Was looking into picking up this same test pipe , but wasn't sure if I wanted to go with the resonated version or TP. Will the resonated version sound quieter ?

I have the resonated version and I also have the 44mm UK mod done.
The car is actually pretty loud with that combo when I get on it but there is no rasp.
I can still keep it quiet but even then there is a low end rumble.

The smell is also not that bad. I thought it would be worse. I guess I'm used to it since my bike is catless.

I run a Berk 63mm high flow cat in front of a Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust. With a Gernby tune it makes a lot of power.

Just got the test pipe for my 07 from the same ebay vendor Circuit Werks but it doesn't fit properly.
I use the donut gasket they provided but its overall length is about 1/2 inch too short so the 2 springs cannot be bolted on. The donut gasket that goes between downpipe and TP is too small in diameter even when i tried to shave it down.
I tried ziptying the springs to compress them for easier bolt on but it would not fit. I left the springs out to see how it is but im sure it leaks right there. The result is obnoxiously loud exhaust. WTF am i doing wrong?

Look at the gap

i can't even thread the bolt

so it goes on like this without springs but it leaks

Never mind i found a post in TP thread and it says not to use the donut gasket it comes with. So i used the original one and push the exhaust up a bit and it was a bit giving so everything's good now.
$85 well spent for the sound and performance. 90° bend CEL fix from Circuit Werks is doing its job on my 07. No CEL so far

Yeah, I ended up using the original gasket. The one provided did not fit for me either.

I dont understand why you wouldn't just get the Berk TP for just about $10-15 more. This way you'll have no fitment issues.

Do these help with the low end 1st gear 2-3.5kk rpm "dead spot". Are they really worth it. I remember driving someone's long time ago and couldn't tell the difference except for dirtier exhaust tips?

I got this because of the 90° angle CEL fix. i did a quick search and it seems like other brand didn't have this. It's a must for MY06 and up with sensitive o2 sensor. Fitment is not an issue if u use original donut gasket. I wish i knew this before the installation.
I definitely felt the gain. Well worth the money imo
