Default CHEAP headlights

I bought a wrecked 05 about 3 weeks ago. I will need to replace both headlights because my housings are cracked. I would love to go back OEM, but they are very pricey. I found these on ebay. The price is cheap. How bad are these? Anyone have any good or bad experiences with these type of lights? Can I swap in my HID lights from my stock lights, if they work?

They don't look that bad, light output isn't as good as OEM though.

You will need to reseal them also, aftermarket headlights seem to always get condensation.

In OEM we trust...those Ebay products look pretty hideous.

Occasionally you will run into a few used pairs on Craigslist. They usually go for around $450 a pair used.

You can buy them and try transferring the innards of the oem to the aftermarket housing...

I did see a post somewhere where someone had brought cheap ebay ones, removed the lenses and just replaced the oem lense with them.

Its a bit of hassle having to bake them to remove the lenses and then reseal them but it may be a cheaper alternative to oem ones.

No experience with s2k headlights, but a buddy of mine got an eBay set for his eclipse for about the same price. Within a week %90 of the led lights (strips) burned out. After a couple weeks, the low beams failed. Furthermore, the high beams were always placed wrong so they didn't illuminate the road at all, but rather shined up at a 30 degree angle. He picked up oem ones after that and they work perfectly.

The ones you posted will, at best, have worse light output. At worst, they will fail and you will need a new set.

i like that their picture on the s2k is a horrible photoshop rather than an actual install
