Changing tips on Q300 dual
I have a newer Q300 installed. After having it for a while I thinking I dont like the look of the tips. Too large for my liking. I'm looking to change them. I'm thinking of dropping the rear section of the exhaust, cutting off the tips near or at the mufflers and having new stainless tips welded on (I have access to a couple expert welders where I work).
I'm thinking if I go with a smaller diameter tip I'll need to raise the mufflers about 1/2" so the tips will fill the AP2 bumper opening. Dont want them hanging too low. Is the system flexible enough to raise it up 1/2 inch?
I'm also considering having the OEM tips welded on, but this would require a short piece of straight pipe welded to the mufflers.
I guess I'm looking for suggestion....pictures...any help.
Thanks

ive actually been thinking about doing this too
the system is made to adjust height wise into the bumper- i wiggled mine around to fit better
i was actually thinking about redoing the tips so that i can have a design that is more like the t1r 70r-em with the slant down tips
