Default cf hood rubbing against valve cover

I just bought a used vis cf hood and noticed it has been rubbing against the valve cover and the paint from it has been stripping down to metal, any ideas as to how to fix this issue

How is the fitment of the hood? Is everything sitting flush? When you pop the hood, there are rubber bump stops located on the shock tower and the by the radiator supports, you can turn those up a bit to get more clearance.

The front hood latch also has some plat, if you loosen the bolts, the latch can be moved slightly higher, to the right etc...then just tighten it down.

Other than that...you can Dremel out a small area under the FRP skin...if anything.

The rubber bumps don't help and the alignment is as best as it can be, I guess the dremel is my answe. Thanks

That part of the top of the cover can be very thin.

I buffed through mine and ended up super glue to the rescue to stop the oil seepage.

at both ends of the hood where the hinges are connected to the hood by 2 bolts each, you can try putting thicker washers between the bolt and hood. that might lift the hood high enough to clear the valve cover.

You can also raise the hood latch. I did this to clear my spoon strut bar. It has about 1/4 in of adjustment room.

I have the same problem, you need to cut a square about 3x3" in the bottom plastic layer on the cf hood with a dremel where the valve cover is hitting the hood so it has some space to " get in" when you close the hood...

VIS hood is heavier. By a negligable 2-3 lbs. Mine has a tiny rub too
