Actually you need to learn to shift slower with stock pressure plate. The stock pressure plate is crap. The CDV slows down clutch engagement just enough that you dont feel the weakness of the pressure plate quite as much. If you take it out you will need to shift even slower.

The CDV protects the driveline from shock. That's a great reason to keep it.
I question everyone who claims the CDV needs to be removed as its never been established to hurt any part of the car's performance.

people who say to remove the CDV need to learn how to drive their car better. I have no issues with the CDV intact. I feel no delay whatsoever. it's in the shifting technique.
