Cannot remove rear axle nut

This really gets me. I have NEVER had to go through anything like this to remove axle nuts, and I've done a lot of axle replacements on Hondas and Acuras over the years, mostly FWD, I admit, but an impact gun always gets 'em loose with no real issues. The whole Axle nut 'fix' must just be a 'cover up' for the real issue with that. Perhaps the flat surfaces that the nut and the axle press against need to be free of corrosion, and a new nut used every time? Maybe this would correct the issue, and the 181 ft-lbs would then be adequate.
Is there a TSB for this issue? That's Technical Service Bulletin.
