I have a few questions about this spoiler:

1. Is there a difference between the Backyard Special and the Mu-Style (ebay) spoiler?

2. For the state of WA or in general, is it illegal to remove the 3rd brake light?

3. If anyone has the Mu-Style spoiler, how is the fitment?

any kind of info would be awesome...im really interested in one of these spoilers. Thanks!

 

I have the seibon version and the fitment is excellent.

 

I just recieved my MU style a few days ago. Been dumping rain so as soon as it clears I'll test fit and share.

Came packaged great, nice hardware and quality looks great also. Hope the test fit is as good.

I am not sure on fitment issues. However I do know that removing your 3rd brakelight in the state of WA is illegal. Before the S I had an EG hatch I put the carbon fiber duckbill on replacing the 3rd brakelight in the stock wing. 2 hrs later I got pulled over. But I highly doubt the fuzz will know any different with the S

 

I don't have the ebay spoiler but the one I have IS a replica. IMO, it fits perfectly. I also did not want to eliminate my third brake light so I did some research then went to radiantz.com and bought this 100 light led strip. I spliced it into the factory wiring and it works perfectly. Here's a vid. There are more at different angles on youtube. Just search "rajunasian".

That looks pretty clean! I jus ordered the Spoiler, so hopefully I wont have any issues with the fitment.

How did you go about routing the wires?

 

Inside the trunk lid, through the back into the passenger compartment then up into the secret compartment.

Is there any difference the Mu and the BYS? they look the same
