Default bolts attaching cat to exhaust side

the threaded bolt that attaches my cat to my exhaust got stripped when i installed different exhaust several times...i was wondering if i can just get some new threaded bolts from home depot or somewhere and the nuts to tighten the other side? if thats ok is there a specific sized one or anything that fits in the hole is fine?

thanks

If you're talking about the ones with the "weird" looking head on the Cat side,, they're splined, and pressed into the flange like a wheel stud,, Just pound them out, and replace them with a normal 3/8" bolt/washer/nut arrangment...

Wow. I guess i am not the only one. Those bolts on the cat that attach to the exhaust were stripped on my car straight out of the factory. Very cheap bolts and/or sloppy install on honda's part in that respect. All I did was cutt the end of the bolt to get rid of the stripped portion and it worked just fine. I figured i only needed a temp solution as I am putting a HFC on soon.

Yeh mine were stripped after several diff. exhaust. I pounded them out with a hammer and got standard bolt/nut.
