Default Big Brake Question

Well since my car is gonna be down for a while im looking into changing the brakes. Now i like the Project Mu brakes but ive noticed there arent many kits that include the rear brakes either. Is there a way that i can get big brakes on the rear? Sorry for the noob like question.

There is, but you dont want it for at least 2 reasons:

1. It is unnecessary. It will mess up the brake bias if you just install and go.

2. You loose the ebrake. Wilwood supposedly had a solution, but I dont know if it ever materialized.

Correct. BBKs are mostly for looks. You gain a bit of consistency over a long track session. With proper fluid and pads, oem brakes are more than sufficient

Willwood: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...&#entry13592640

J's Racing also has a rear kit, but it's a floating caliper just like stock, so it's probably not what you're looking for if you are going for looks.

The stock setup should be just as capable as any BBK setup. If you want kit for the front and rear, you would probably need to play with the bias.

Post some specs of the car

Well for now its stock. But the motor will be built with weisco pistons, eagle rods, new balenced crankshaft. The im gonna try and send out to someone to get the head built also. Then probally custom fabricated turbo kit. Hopefully ill get into the 700+rwhp range and ill be happy.

high hp doesn't necessitate a difference in braking technically. you will not be going any faster than anyone else, you'll just be reaching that speed much faster...even if you are drag racing or doing top speed runs a decent set of pads and good fluid will be fine since you will not have to worry about prolonged heat but just 1 big stop.

i would invest that money into reinforcing your car for that power along with lots of rear tires
