As far as handling I dont think any aftermarket spring will compare to stock. The s2000 I just bought has Eibach prokit springs and I can tell they are softer then stock.

You get a little drop, but I would just wait and save till you can get Koni's. Even koni's with stock springs on the lowest perch wouldn't look to terrible.
