I ordered a catback duel exhaust with test pipe for about $180, we will see how this set up sounds, I already have a spacer to add to the test pipe to prevent cel. Exhaust should come in a couple of days, hopeing for the best

eBay exhaust and brakes.
you're on a thread that reviews ebay parts.. what exactly are you expecting to find here? people bragging about their 3000 dollar big brakes kit and 2500 dollar full titanium exhaust? i made these purchases both to save some money, and find out what parts are worth saving money on and which one's are not.. i am one of the people willing to buy these parts, test, and review them, for the sake of current and future s2000 owners.. if you want to bash on people then start your own thread, but why not be constructive instead?

in my defense this is a car with a rebuilt title that i spent 7k on... it's not a 30k cr or anything

the brakes are definitely a gamble, i'm quite confident however that the exhaust is quality, it just doesn't have a fancy label

got the header a few days ago, finally got some time to post pics...

good first impressions IMG_0562.jpg?t=1330530088

welds pretty good around primaries IMG_0564.jpg?t=1330529880

weakest weld seems to be the one around the collector IMG_0570.jpg?t=1330529899

definitely some left over pipe in the collector IMG_0569.jpg?t=1330529894

a bit of weld that could be removed to clean things up a bit IMG_0566.jpg?t=1330529891

all in all i'm feeling pretty neutral about the header, i only spent $100, it'll look pretty sweet bolted up, definitely some clear obstructions of exhaust flow however..
i'm not expecting any significant gains, hell i'll be happy if i don't lose power.. i expect to shave about 10 lbs which is nice, i need to make up for this added weight in the trunk IMG_0561.jpg?t=1330529871

super excited about that btw, if you want a sub buy that box off ebay, $75 and fits perfect, the alpine type r is the perfect combination of space requirements, mounting depth, and max power based on those constraints, plus it was $125 from ebay brand new, amp was $99 used from ebay, and the speaker grill is the best $40 dollars i've ever spent, also from ebay

got my lugs too IMG_0551.jpg?t=1330465265

they look pretty decent, all came individually wrapped IMG_0550.jpg?t=1330465258

more on those after i mount them

anyone try this x brace? Honda S2000 AP1/2 S2K 00-10 Front Lower X Brace Braces Front Lower Under Brace

i've seen the design similar to this one for about $100, but it's long gone Whiteline Front lower control arm brace 00-04 S2000 AP1

i definitely like that design better but $50 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< $350

I've got the Whiteline one, but it's not installed on my car as I'm too low, so it's just sitting in the garage.

The $50 brace looks fine, but keep in mind, if you're lowered you run a chance of bottoming out, it adds a good inch below the car.

Don't take this personal, because I'm not trying to be a jerk, but those welds don't look good to me. They are pretty, but there is very little penetration and tie-in, and they look like they have almost no filler in some places.

Looking more at the pictures I decided to not go the eBay header route. might just wrap the stock one

since i have it i might as well use it.. if it cracks at one of the welds i'll just put the stock one back on. i've seen people just remove the heat shields off the stock header and paint it black with header paint.. looks pretty good
