You have to custom make points for CF hoods like u do for the hood prop or windshield washer nozzles

I wouldnt get Sokie Tech hood dampers because from the reviews ive read some of them are over pressured. I usually opt out for the cheaper things since it doesnt take a rocket scientist to make things we usually over pay for, but for the difference that you can just get NRG Hood dampers for, id recommend going with the brand name. I love mine, opens the hood 30% higher.

I don't see why the dampers I got wouldn't work on a cf Hood. They bolt to the stock hinge.

They also open the Hood a good bit more than stock and the pressure seems good to me.

I have always heard that using them on a CF hood can cause problems because the hood isn't as strong and you could damage the hood when closing it because you have to push harder to close it.

i thought it had to do something with the weight of "some" cf hoods. they would fly up way too fast, if they were too light.

Yeah but I think there is still to much risk of damaging the hood. On a CF hood it is bolting into fiberglass or CF which isn't as strong as steels and either closing or opening will put alot of stress on those points where they connect to the hood. I think they just say that on most of the hood dampers because they don't want someone getting mad at them for ruining their hood because they installed these.

I'd use only one strut if I had a cf Hood. One seemed to hold the stock Hood decently but wouldn't lift it w/o help

I would use both, distribute the weight, it will be fine.
