Best coilovers for strictly street use?
I was wondering what are the best coilovers that are as close to stock ride as possible (definitely not too rough) and can be had for less than $1k used? The lower priced the better of course.
My car is strictly a street driven DD. I may track it in the future, but at this point I'm not going to and thus I have absolutely no need for coilovers that were built for the track.
There are so many brands, its hard to tell whats the best to go with.
So yeah what do you guys think?

i have megan tracks. im in the same boat as you and only DD my car and may track it in the future, but not anytime soon. i love the megans. theyre 32 way adjustable dampers and can go really low. thats mainly why i bought these coilovers was to slam my car and i didnt want to dish out hella money on a set of coilovers that i wouldnt really put to good use.
if youre only willing to get coilovers for $1k or lower then do a search for coilovers that are under your limit and then search which one is best for you

The perennial favorite, the Bilstein PSS9's are an excellent choice for a strictly driven car. They offer a very comfortable and sure-footed ride and a mild drop if you are not into "slamming" your car.
They are $1300 new, but I have seen used ones in this forum going for under $1000

You will not find a better bargain than Megan, although I hear the Bilsteins are luxoury soft. I have the Megans and am happy.
With that said, entry level coilovers on here use stiffer springs to make up for an inferior shock, the spring will do the work and the shock won't work as much.
Therefore more bounce and less absorbtion are some of the symptoms.
Megans have had alot of reviews and seem to be good for the $, but Koni with Ground control for a little more might be better.
