i liked the stock pads alot. when they wore out i put hawk hps pads on. i am not a race car driver, but i swear they have to heat up to work as well. i dont autox the car. i just drive on the street, spiritedly at best

are stock pads the best bang for the buck or is there something else? the hawk hps pads feel like they dont have the same bite...

Since Cobalt screwed up the GTS pads...yes, OEM is the best for street.

Specifically, the OEM AP1 pads are better on the street for most people than the AP2 pads. The AP2 pads have a slightly higher heat tolerance and fade resistance, but that comes at the expense of more dust.
