Mine has a metal insert in it now, but that it because i melted the plastic one when i re-burnt it.

There are other models instead of burned ones. it's just so damn hard to tell if one is authentic or another brand selling as ARC. With the box doesnt mean it's authentic. I can buy a replica and an authentic, keep the authentic and put the rep into the box and sell it as ARC. and I'm sure they can make fake ARC boxes in China.

I have an authentic ARC knob purchased new from Bulletproof and it doesn't have the white plastic insert. Looks like there really isn't a way to be 100% positive unless you buy it new from a reliable source.
