I just installed my AP2 bumper, but i'm having trouble closing the gap where the bumper meets the fenders just above the headlights. I already shaved the corners of the bumper support beam and tried pushing the bumper against the car while screwing down the support piece above it. Does anyone else have this issue?

No body that has done the conversion had this problem?

That gap doesnt look out of spec. Ive seen OEM cars with that much gap from the factory (hell, mine is pretty close to that much gap).

Once you paint the bumper, the paint will take up some of the gap and you wont have the visual of seeing the different primer color in the gap. I think you are fine

 

The gap in the picture is tighter than the gap from the hood to the fender, I wouldn't worry.

 

Thanks for the replies. The car is @ the paint shop right now getting the bumper sprayed so hopefully I won't see too much gap after the paint is on.
