This works too, its made for a toyota tacoma. I used it on my shine asm fender flares. However, Im not sure if it's long enough for a front lip, you'll just have to be precise and extend it with another piece if you decide to go this route for $15 a pop from a Toyota dealership, works super well.

The peice from Honda is long enough to do about a lip and a half.
And yes it goes on the lip before you put it on the bumper. It's sort of an L shape with glue on one side, just peel the backing over the glue and starting on one end press it against the lip and work your way down.
