Default Another "no more CDV thread"

As it says, I just installed an 03 slave cyl on my 06 and I can't believe I waited 27,000 miles to do this. It took all of 30 minutes including jacking up the car. the clutch engages quickly and there is no more burning up of it on 2nd to 3rd hard shifts.

Love it, if you are on the fence, just do it.

How much did you pay for the '03 cdv? Is there any reason you didn't just remove the delay mechanism from the '04 cdv rather than buying the '03 one? Thanks

If you look at the changes made to the S2000 over the last couple of years, the handling of the car has become more tuned for daily driving and comfort rather than track. They lowered the 9K redline to 8K, they softened the suspension, they changed the steering ratio, they added the CDV to lower the strain on the differential and drivetrain. However, the clutch takes the hit for it instead. IMO it is just another change implemented to lower perfomance and increase lifespan.
