It seems as long as the pump is connected the the CEL light stays off, and also you can't disconnect the little soliniod next to the air box, that must stay connected, but you can remove the air pipe that leads to the value to direct the air into the exhaust.

i'm in the same boat, though a US car, i have until early next summer to figure out what i'm going to do with my airpump, either replace or get an AEM.......what to do.............

so lets say you buy a turbo kit that comes with either a AEM or k-pro ems, they can be tuned to not read the air pump?
Ive been looking at the Mase kit and i might be picking one up, i might do this and just eliminate my air pump, would that be an option?

RSX ECU used in KPRO doesn't even use the secondary air injection system so you will not get a CEL and still have ODBII. The AEM EMS does not use OBDII, no CEL but won't pass emissions or inspection if they try to do a scan.
