aem v2

i have the AEM v2. it's absolutely amazing. the roar when you hit vtec is almost frightening
for performance, not much difference. you feel it a bit more between 2k-2.5k but it might just be the sound. Throttle response feels a tiny bit better, but not very noticebale.
the power difference is very little on an NA car. If you want bolt-on power, get intake, header, test pipe, exhaust, then get a tune. Just know that you'd be spending about $3k for perhaps +12hp

if you have a ap1 the only way you can tune it is vafc or aem ems which is over 1k....
i say dont change anything, leave everything stock but get an exhaust and tune with vafc. A stock s2000's gain around 18WHP with a vafc tune. which is GREAT for a n/a. in my opinion its not worth buying all these parts (intake, exhaust, headers) but tp is worth it. if you save up and dont buy these bolt ons, you can be almost 1/2 way to a used s/c kit on stock boost.
i went down the i/h/tp/e road and its expencive and stock felt faster... but the sound was to die for.

I had the AEM V2
-Sounds good
-Engine bay looks empty
Now I'm running the CT
-It doesn't sound as good as the AEM, but its still loud IMO
-Engine bay looks good with the carbon fiber finish lid

yeah I figured it was. Pretty well any CAI I've had on any car does it. I haven't heard the "growl" everyone is talking about. Then again, my HKS Hi-Power may cover up the sound in vtec
