AEM ECU
im looking to buy a AEM ECU, and this are my 2 options.
1.Series 2 EMS and the price for this is -$1,545.00
2.Fuel and ignition controller - $427.00
this is a huge price difference so i want to know what are the diferences in this 2, from what i undertand they can both be tuned.....
sry if its a dumb question.

I won't list evrything, but here's some info:
I think you can do better on the price for a series2 EMS closer to 1k.
The series2 is a full blown ems and will pretty much do everything, datalog (with laptop connected or internal memory triggered by programmable events ie knock, wot, etc), real time programming yeah literally can drive and make changes while driving/on dyno. Absolute control if you know how to use it. Think they're pretty popular so tuner choice should be good.
They will probably be upgrading aemtuner again this year so it has even better datalogging/analysis package and integrated into the new aemdata package.
The FIC is a piggyback. Can't really advance timing (but retards independently). It's like a vafc but a little better. Offers 'correction' of whatever the stock ecu is doing.

If youre boosting next year, I honestly would hold off on anything until youre able to afford EMS. Dont make unneeded purchases be patient for the good deal.

Nope but its easy to swap the stock ecu back in.
Also you can make more power out of the AEM V2 compared piggy back if thats true that the piggy back doesn't advance timing.
You can make a lot of mid range power with just your mods if your tuner is a good tuner.
Don't forget to add the wideband uego controller/sensor on there so you can have o2 feedback.
