I had Berk's 63mm HFC and no drone on my 2003

Drone to me is low frequency noise/booming when you're flat on the throttle

well we feel sorry for you....cuz you're in GEORGIA!

Honestly...the hfc is kind of a no brainer except the fact that it is a little more expensive. You lose about 1hp and just under 1.5ft/lb tq over the same sized testpipe. no nasty smell and no excessive pollutants into the air.

it was a joke dude.

and i've been to every state in the country...and every major city including atlanta. hell, my father was born in alabama.

but my point was more about the emissions. having a high flow cat doesn't mean you lose a bunch of power. the only real benefit to getting a test pipe over a hfc in the same size is price: about $100+.

other than that, weight is similar, power is very similar, and no rotten egg smell or as many pollutants in the air.

oh i know it was a joke. i wasnt actually taking you serious. sorry, its kinda hard to project tones of sarcasm when typing.
but im with you, i traveled for 3+ yrs for my job. 45 of the 50 states have been under my feet. we're lucky dudes!

oh, and to contribute to the thread, hfc is not a very expensive item. buy one, and if it doesnt help you or you dont like it, sell it off. you cant lose too much $.

true true. no worries.

i like atlanta...just can't deal with the humidity haha!

we should probably stop the thread jacking...but then again, i'd say the op has enough information to make a good decision.

thank god I live in kentucky, If it has wheels, a motor, and isn't the size of a go kart, you can drive it on the road and do all the mods you want!

You gets get off topic really easily.

Anyways, I'd get the HFC as it is still a considerable gain over OEM, while still not risking nasty TP smell.
